Given that Hamburg lies not far from Denmark, the North Sea and a couple of surf spots in the Baltic, the city probably shelters more eager, landlocked surfers than any other place in this country. While skateboarding seems to be a brilliant pastime these days, long-established anti-skate-politics had put Hamburg off the skate map for some years – luckily this has changed.
Well, even after a couple of years with wheels beneath our feet we keep searching for more and better spots, for other surfskaters around and for absolute the best concrete conditions. In the meantime we thought it would be great to have a surfskate and skatepark atlas for Hamburg at hand, especially for people who are new to the local community. So below you can find our first choices as of 2022.
